The Cabin
The original cabin was rumored to be an old bootlegger’s hideout from back in the day, perched at the highest point in town in the forest. It has been rebuilt over the years and still has the original stone fireplace. Today, Owl’s Rest has a full kitchen, full laundry, air conditioning, fireplace, hot tub, and sleeps 4. We booked our stay for a little mini honeymoon and before we left the cabin, we were already planning our next stay to come back for our anniversary. Beautiful property with a good amount of privacy besides the few visitors we saw: birds, deer, owl and a turkey! Kitchen was very recently remodeled and such a joy to cook in with all the windows overlooking the property. The wood burning fireplace was such a cozy feature too and it was so thoughtful of the host to provide clear step by step instructions on how to use everything in the cabin. 10/10!
