The Blue Goose– Twin Lakes

It’s a short walk from the Cabin to this corner neighborhood tavern with great food, drinks, and friendly atmosphere. Try the hand battered cheese curds! Pet friendly patio in season.

Bodi’s Bake Shop– Twin Lakes

Bakery, casual breakfast and lunch. Locally known for their outstanding donuts. We can’t get enough of the cherry fritters!

Healing Grounds Cafe & Juicery- Salem

Breakfast and light lunch, focused on health and well-being, variety of coffees and beverages, wine and beer. Vegetarian, vegan, GF choices available. The café is attached to a wellness center, salon, fitness studio, with events. Outdoor seating in-season. We love their ingredients and choices.

Simple Cafe– Lake Geneva

Breakfast and lunch, with menu emphasizing artisan producers in southeastern Wisconsin. Bakery next door with excellent breads, pastries, cakes. Outdoor patio in-season. We love the sourdough bread! Pet-friendly patio.

Colony House Restaurant– Trevor

Our local favorite for dinner. Famous small country restaurant, steakhouse, cocktail bar with charming wood burning fireplace in winter. Delicious Friday fish fry. Intimate. Casual- dressy casual. Reservations strongly recommended.

Paisano’s– Richmond, IL.

Fine dining Italian bistro in a unique setting with hand painted murals of Italian countryside and villages. Outdoor dining in garden patio in-season, with live entertainment frequently throughout the year. Casual- dressy casual, Reservations recommended. We love their pasta and fresh bread.

Wilmot Stage Stop– Wilmot

Upscale steakhouse and Wisconsin’s oldest tap & dining room, est, 1848. Steak, lobster, homemade salad dressings & old fashioned cocktails. Reservations strongly recommended. We love their ribeye and enjoy the historic interest- be sure to go upstairs.

Sabai Sabai Thai & Sushi restaurant– Lake Geneva

Authentic Thai and exceptional sushi in a cozy setting. Outdoor dining in-season. We love the freshness of their dishes and always get the Thai donuts at the end.

Mars Resort– Lake Geneva

Classic supper club nestled on the shores of Lake Como, WI. serving lunch and dinner. Lakeside views, brandy old fashioned’s and delicious food, including Friday fish fry. Mars does not take reservations, and the wait can be long. We love this place and like to go in the late afternoon before it is packed. The ribs are outstanding. Outdoor beach menu in-season, live music often.

Hansen’s Ice Cream Parlor– Wilmot

Charming ice cream parlor serving Wisconsin’s Cedar Crest Ice cream and fresh popcorn. Indoor and outdoor seating. We love the setting and the ice cream! Open seasonally.

Anderson’s Candy Shop– Richmond, IL

Quality fudge, caramels, truffles, & chocolate candies for more than 100 years. This is quite the treat for a chocolate lover. We love their home-made candy bars.

Manny’s Snack Shack– Twin Lakes

Breakfast and lunch, very casual and kitschy diner. Bacon and eggs, hamburgers, cinnamon rolls, coffee, etc. We like the chocolate chip pancakes and hash browns. Outdoor picnic tables in-season.

Double Skoop- (seasonal) Ice Cream and Grill- Twin Lakes

Serving premium Wisconsin ice cream shop and favorites from the grill, with outdoor seating Open seasonally.

Adrian’s Custard– Burlington

Seasonal frozen custard stand has been there for ages, usually a line and worth the wait. Open seasonally.

Lake Geneva Country Meats

Family owned, gourmet meat and grocery shop. Destination for great bratwurst for the grill. We also love the chicken salad from the deli!

River Valley Ranch & Kitchens– Burlington

Unique, local community grocery store offering a wide variety of mushrooms and seasonal produce from their farm, clean handcrafted goods, ready to cook meals from their kitchen, & other local and artisanal foods. Vegetarian, vegan, GF options. Look for the barn with the big mushroom painted on it

Hafs Road Orchard– Genoa City

Local orchard offering a selection of already picked apples, cider, hand- dipped caramel apples, pumpkins and other seasonal items. Honey crisp apples from Hafs are amazing!

Andersons Candy Shop– Richmond

This family owned shop has made specialty chocolates for over 100 years.

Forrest Farms– Plant Shop in Twin Lakes

Local couple runs this cute shop and host plant- related events. Check hours ahead of time.

Annie’s Baking Creations– Nearby Bake Stand

Take a short drive to find this adorable little country bake stand. Check her Facebook page to see what’s available, or to place an order in advance.

Other Things to Do

Lance Park Beach– Twin Lakes

Small sandy beach with shade, swimming area, boat launch & home of the Aquanut show. Dog-friendly. Beach does not have a fee.

Aquanut Water Shows– Twin Lakes

(seasonal)- Saturdays and Wednesdays at 6pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day at Lance Park Beach. Free! Check out their website for details and to confirm schedule.

Twin Lakes Country Club

Golf and Clubhouse, also now has an indoor golf simulator- great for a rainy day

Veteran’s Memorial Park– Twin Lakes entrance, walk from cabin

This park is 335 acres with a 39 acre lake. Fishing, walking, biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, non- motor water craft, dog park, and more. The closest entrance is through the Warren Close Dog Park, however depending on what you’d like to see, there are several different entrances (check Kenosha County Veteran’s Memorial Park’s website).
