The original cabin was rumored to be an old bootlegger’s hideout from back in the day, perched at the highest point in town in the forest. It has been rebuilt over the years and still has the original stone fireplace. Today, Owl’s Rest has a full kitchen, full laundry, air conditioning, fireplace, hot tub, and sleeps 4. The Space
Enter Owl’s rest into a large great room with vaulted wood trusses, wood- burning fireplace, and a huge, beautiful stained glass window.
Upstairs you’ll find a very cozy bedroom with a comfortable king bed, soft lighting, and a desk area that is open to the great room below.
The outside space is very inviting, with room to enjoy! You can soak in the private hot tub year-round, surrounded by the forest. Grill your favorite meal and dine under the big pine tree on the patio, or kick back in the Adirondack chairs surrounding the fire by the old oak trees.
For a cozy evening indoors, enjoy the buttery- soft leather sofa and watch a movie on the 70″ TV. The sofa pulls out to a queen bed if needed.
The full-sized kitchen is ready for cooking, and also offers a selection of tea, cocoa, and locally roasted gourmet coffee.
The full sized washer and dryer are in a laundry room that is accessed from the outside. You’ll find beach amenities inside the laundry room for your use.

Winter extras
It is really beautiful when it snows in the forest! We provide firewood for the indoor fireplace and slippers for your use during the cold months. We will plow and salt the driveway, and All-Wheel-Drive is appropriate for this location when it is snowy. This is because the cabin is tucked far back in the forest and the gravel driveway is hilly.
